Hops shortage is man made

Watch the video below and I will tell ya the real story.

This video says the shortage is caused by poor weather but the hop plant is a very hearty plant. Realistically we would have to practically be in another ice age for hop production to fall due to weather. I should know I grew hops in Alaska and I was shocked at how great they grew in such a short growing season. Now realize hops does take a few years to get a large yield of flowers from a new plant but the vines grow like weeds. If you were to videotape a plant for 24 hours you can literally see it grow about 3 inches (peak season). The brewing industry is facing mounting costs on nearly every front. Fuel, aluminum and glass prices have been going up quickly over a period of several years. Barley and wheat prices have skyrocketed as more farmers plant corn to meet increasing demand for ethanol, while others plant feed crops to replace acres lost to corn. The fact of the matter is hop farmers can make more money growing corn for ethanol. So that being said the shortage is man made. Think about this the next time you try to relax with a cold one.

RNC Fred Thompson

I have been watching the RNC this week and I was very impressed with Fred Thompson. Below is the speech he gave on Tuesday night(09-02-08). I know its long but a little reading won't hurt ya. Trust me its worth it.

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) -- Former Sen. Fred Thompson of Tennessee spoke to the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night. Here is the text of the speech:

Sen. Fred Thompson campaigns with John McCain earlier this year.

Sen. Thompson: Tonight our thoughts are still with our friends and fellow citizens in the Gulf Coast area, and our thanks go to those who have worked so hard to keep them safe. There can be no more important work than this.
But what we are doing at this convention is also important to our country.
We are going to nominate the next president and vice president of the United States of America.
We do so while taking a different view of our country than that of the other party.
Listening to them you'd think that we were in the middle of a Great Depression; that we are down, disrespected and incapable of prevailing against challenges facing us.
We know that we have challenges -- always have, always will.
But we also know that we live in the freest, strongest, most generous and prosperous nation in the history of the world and we are thankful.
Speaking of the vice presidential nominee, what a breath of fresh air Gov. Sarah Palin is.
She is from a small town, with small town values, but that's not good enough for those folks who are attacking her and her family.
Some Washington pundits and media big shots are in a frenzy over the selection of a woman who has actually governed rather than just talked a good game on the Sunday talk shows and hit the Washington cocktail circuit. Well, give me a tough Alaskan governor who has taken on the political establishment in the largest state in the union -- and won -- over the beltway business-as-usual crowd any day of the week.
Let's be clear ... the selection of Gov. Palin has the other side and their friends in the media in a state of panic. She is a courageous, successful, reformer, who is not afraid to take on the establishment.
Sound like anyone else we know?
She has run a municipality and she has run a state.
And I can say without fear of contradiction that she is the only nominee in the history of either party who knows how to properly field dress a moose ... with the possible exception of Teddy Roosevelt.
She and John McCain are not going to care how much the alligators get irritated when they get to Washington, they're going to drain that swamp.
But tonight, I'd like to talk to you about the remarkable story of John McCain.
It's a story about character.
John McCain's character has been tested like no other presidential candidate in the history of this nation.
He comes from a military family whose service to our country goes back to the Revolutionary War.
The tradition continues.
As I speak, John and Cindy McCain have one son who's just finished his first tour in Iraq.
Another son is putting "Country First" and is attending the Naval Academy. We have a number of McCains in the audience tonight.
Also here tonight is John's 96-year-old mother, Roberta. All I've got to say is that if Roberta McCain had been the McCain captured by the North Vietnamese, they would have surrendered.
Now, John's father was a bit of a rebel, too.
In his first two semesters at the Naval Academy, he managed to earn 333 demerits.
Unfortunately, John later saw that as a record to be beaten.
A rebellious mother and a rebellious father - I guess you can see where this is going.
In high school and the Naval Academy, he earned a reputation as a troublemaker.
But as John points out, he wasn't just a troublemaker. He was the leader of the troublemakers.
Although loaded with demerits like his father, John was principled even in rebellion.
He never violated the honor code.
However, in flight school in Pensacola, he did drive a Corvette and date a girl who worked in a bar as an exotic dancer under the name of Marie, the Flame of Florida.
And the reason I'm telling you these things, is that, apparently, this mixture of rebellion and honor helped John McCain survive the next chapter of his life:
John McCain was preparing to take off from the USS Forrestal for his sixth mission over Vietnam, when a missile from another plane accidentally fired and hit his plane.
The flight deck burst into a fireball of jet fuel.
John's flight suit caught fire.
He was hit by shrapnel.
It was a scene of horrible human devastation.
Men sacrificed their lives to save others that day. One kid, who John couldn't identify because he was burned beyond recognition, called out to John to ask if a certain pilot was OK.
John replied that, yes, he was.
The young sailor said, "Thank God"... and then he died.
These are the kind of men John McCain served with.
These are the men and women John McCain knows and understands and loves.
If you want to know who John McCain is, if you want to know what John McCain values, look to the men and women who wear America's uniform today.
The fire on the Forrestal burned for two days.
20 planes were destroyed.
134 sailors died.
John himself barely dodged death in the inferno and could've returned to the States with his ship.
Instead, he volunteered for combat on another carrier that was undermanned from losing so many pilots.
Stepping up.
Putting his "Country First."
Three months later John McCain was a Prisoner of War.
On October 26, 1967, on his 23rd mission over North Vietnam, a surface-to-air missile slammed into John's A-4 Skyhawk jet, blowing it out of the sky.
When John ejected, part of the plane hit him -- breaking his right knee, his left arm, his right arm in three places.
An angry mob got to him.
A rifle butt broke his shoulder.
A bayonet pierced his ankle and his groin.
They took him to the Hanoi Hilton, where he lapsed in and out of consciousness for days. He was offered medical care for his injuries if he would give up military information in return.
John McCain said "No".
After days of neglect, covered in grime, lying in his own waste in a filthy room, a doctor attempted to set John's right arm without success ... and without anesthesia.
His other broken bones and injuries were not treated. John developed a high fever, dysentery. He weighed barely a hundred pounds.
Expecting him to die, his captors placed him in a cell with two other POWs who also expected him to die.
But with their help, John McCain fought on.
He persevered.
So then they put him in solitary confinement...for over two years.
Isolation ... incredible heat beating on a tin roof. A light bulb in his cell burning 24 hours a day.
Boarded-up cell windows blocking any breath of fresh air.
The oppressive heat causing boils the size of baseballs under his arms.
The outside world limited to what he could see through a crack in a door.
We hear a lot of talk about hope.
John McCain knows about hope. That's all he had to survive on. For propaganda purposes, his captors offered to let him go home.
John McCain refused.
He refused to leave ahead of men who'd been there longer.
He refused to abandon his conscience and his honor, even for his freedom.
He refused, even though his captors warned him, "It will be very bad for you."
They were right.
It was.
The guards cracked ribs, broke teeth off at the gums. They cinched a rope around his arms and painfully drew his shoulders back.
Over four days, every two to three hours, the beatings resumed. During one especially fierce beating, he fell, again breaking his arm.
John was beaten for communicating with other prisoners.
He was beaten for NOT communicating with so-called "peace delegations."
He was beaten for not giving information during interrogations.
When his captors wanted the names of other pilots in his squadron, John gave them the names of the offensive line of the Green Bay Packers.
Whenever John was returned to his cell -- walking if he could, dragged if he couldn't -- as he passed his fellow POWs, he would call out to them.
He'd smile ... and give them a thumbs-up.
For five-and-a-half years this went on.
John McCain's bones may have been broken but his spirit never was.
Now, being a POW certainly doesn't qualify anyone to be president.
But it does reveal character.
This is the kind of character that civilizations from the beginning of history have sought in their leaders.
Strength.
Courage.
Humility.
Wisdom.
Duty.
Honor.
It's pretty clear there are two questions we will never have to ask ourselves, "Who is this man?" and "Can we trust this man with the presidency?"
He has been to Iraq eight times since 2003.
He went seeking truth, not publicity.
When he travels abroad, he prefers quietly speaking to the troops amidst the heat and hardship of their daily lives.
And the same character that marked John McCain's military career has also marked his political career.
This man, John McCain is not intimidated by what the polls say or by what is politically safe or popular.
At a point when the war in Iraq was going badly and the public lost confidence, John stood up and called for more troops.
And now we are winning.
Ronald Reagan was John McCain's hero.
And President Reagan admired John tremendously.
But when the president proposed putting U.S. troops in Beirut, John McCain, a freshman Congressman, stood up and cast a vote against his hero because he thought the deployment was a mistake.
My friends ... that is character you can believe in.
For years, members of Congress, Republican and Democrat alike, have gouged the taxpayer with secret earmark spending.
Well, he has never sought an earmark.
I've experienced John's character first hand.
In 1993, when I was thinking of running for the Senate, I went to John for advice. He convinced me I could help make a difference for our country.
I won that election, and with Republican control of Congress, we reformed welfare.
We balanced the budget.
And we began rebuilding our military.
What I remember most about those years is sitting next to John on the Senate floor as he led battle after battle to change the acrimonious, pork barreling, self serving ways of Washington.
The Senate has always had more than its share of smooth talkers.
And big talkers.
It still has.
But while others were talking reform, John McCain led the effort to make reform happen -- always pressing, always moving for what he believed was right and necessary to restore the people's faith in their government.
Confronting when necessary, reaching across the aisle when possible, John personified why we came to Washington in the first place.
It didn't always set too well with some of his colleagues.
Some of those fights were losing efforts.
Some were not.
But a man who never quits is never defeated.
Because John McCain stood up our country is better off.
The respect he is given around the world is not because of a teleprompter speech designed to appeal to American critics abroad, but because of decades of clearly demonstrated character and statesmanship.
There has been no time in our nation's history, since we first pledged allegiance to the American flag, when the character, judgment and leadership of our President was more important.
Terrorists, rogue nations developing nuclear weapons, an increasingly belligerent Russia.
Intensifying competition from China.
Spending at home that threatens to bankrupt future generations. For decades an expanding government ... increasingly wasteful and too often incompetent.
To deal with these challenges the Democrats present a history making nominee for president.
History making in that he is the most liberal, most inexperienced nominee to ever run for president. Apparently they believe that he would match up well with the history making, Democrat controlled Congress. History making because it's the least accomplished and most unpopular Congress in our nation's history.
Together, they would take on these urgent challenges with protectionism, higher taxes and an even bigger bureaucracy.
And a Supreme Court that could be lost to liberalism for a generation.
This is not reform.
And it's certainly not change.
It is basically the same old stuff they've been peddling for years. America needs a president who understands the nature of the world we live in.
A president who feels no need to apologize for the United States of America.
We need a president who understands that you don't make citizens prosperous by making Washington richer, and you don't lift an economic downturn by imposing one of the largest tax increases in American history.
Now our opponents tell you not to worry about their tax increases.
They tell you they are not going to tax your family.
No, they're just going to tax "businesses"! So unless you buy something from a "business", like groceries or clothes or gasoline ... or unless you get a paycheck from a big or a small "business", don't worry ... it's not going to affect you.
They say they are not going to take any water out of your side of the bucket, just the "other" side of the bucket! That's their idea of tax reform.
My friends, we need a leader who stands on principle.
We need a president, and vice president, who will take the federal bureaucracy by the scruff of the neck and give it a good shaking.
And we need a president who doesn't think that the protection of the unborn or a newly born baby is above his pay grade.
The man who will be that president is John McCain.
In the days ahead at this convention, you will hear much more about what John will do as president -- what he will do on the economy, on energy, on health care, the environment... It is not my role tonight to explain that vision.
My role is to help remind you of the man behind the vision. Because tonight our country is calling to all of us to step up, stand up, and put "Country First" with John McCain.
Tonight we are being called upon to do what is right for our country.
Tonight we are being called upon to stand up for a strong military, a mature foreign policy, a free and growing economy and for the values that bind us together and keep our nation free.
Tonight, we are being called upon to step up and stand up with John just as he has stood up for our country.
Our country is calling.
John McCain cannot raise his arms above his shoulders.
He cannot salute the flag of the country for which he sacrificed so much. Tonight, as we begin this convention week, yes, we stand with him.
And we salute him.
We salute his character and his courage.
His spirit of independence, and his drive for reform.
His vision to bring security and peace in our time, and continued prosperity for America and all her citizens.
For our own good and our children's, let us celebrate that vision, that belief, that faith so we can keep America the greatest country the world has ever seen.
God bless John McCain, and God bless America.

ROFLAO !!!!!!!

OK I am sorry this commercial just made me laugh not the topic but the two men sitting on the couch. I could just imagine what they both did after the cameras were off. Pat Robertson ran to the nearest church and bathed in the baptismal. While Al sharpton stoped at Poeye's chiken on his way to a black panther meeting.

McCain you wimp!!!!

Are these ads really that horrible? McCain needs to quit being a wimp and let the people know all about his opponent whomever it may be. What kind of leadership would you expect from a man with the "play nice" attitude especially when it comes to running our country. God I wish their was a viable third party this time.

Just a little quote from Jackson

What the hell !!!

Randi Rhodes from Air America must be an Obama supporter. I would love to ask her to tell me the policy differences between Hillary and Obama. There really isn't any they are almost identical. Both oppose drilling in ANWR. Both want nationalized health care. Both want Bush's tax cuts to expire. Both support a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens. The only real differences are she is a white female and he is a half black male.

I think this video shows why liberal talk radio is dieing!
They are bitching about each other instead of Republicans.
Keep up the good work Libs.

Just sit back and enjoy Sen. McCain

Are you stupid Hillary? Everyone knows I am not a fan of either one of the Democratic candidates. But if my opponent had close ties to a hate spewing racist I would shut the hell up and keep my nose clean. Oh wait I forgot Liberalism is a mental disorder. Check out the brilliance of Mrs. Clinton.

The Mystery of Global Warming's Missing Heat
by Richard Harris

Morning Edition, March 19, 2008 · Some 3,000 scientific robots that are plying the ocean have sent home a puzzling message. These diving instruments suggest that the oceans have not warmed up at all over the past four or five years. That could mean global warming has taken a breather. Or it could mean scientists aren't quite understanding what their robots are telling them

This is puzzling in part because here on the surface of the Earth, the years since 2003 have been some of the hottest on record. But Josh Willis at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory says the oceans are what really matter when it comes to global warming.

In fact, 80 percent to 90 percent of global warming involves heating up ocean waters. They hold much more heat than the atmosphere can. So Willis has been studying the ocean with a fleet of robotic instruments called the Argo system. The buoys can dive 3,000 feet down and measure ocean temperature. Since the system was fully deployed in 2003, it has recorded no warming of the global oceans

"There has been a very slight cooling, but not anything really significant," Willis says. So the buildup of heat on Earth may be on a brief hiatus. "Global warming doesn't mean every year will be warmer than the last. And it may be that we are in a period of less rapid warming."

In recent years, heat has actually been flowing out of the ocean and into the air. This is a feature of the weather phenomenon known as El Nino. So it is indeed possible the air has warmed but the ocean has not. But it's also possible that something more mysterious is going on.

That becomes clear when you consider what's happening to global sea level. Sea level rises when the oceans get warm because warmer water expands. This accounts for about half of global sea level rise. So with the oceans not warming, you would expect to see less sea level rise. Instead, sea level has risen about half an inch in the past four years. That's a lot.

Willis says some of this water is apparently coming from a recent increase in the melting rate of glaciers in Greenland and Antarctica.

"But in fact there's a little bit of a mystery. We can't account for all of the sea level increase we've seen over the last three or four years," he says.

One possibility is that the sea has, in fact, warmed and expanded — and scientists are somehow misinterpreting the data from the diving buoys.

But if the aquatic robots are actually telling the right story, that raises a new question: Where is the extra heat all going?

Kevin Trenberth at the National Center for Atmospheric Research says it's probably going back out into space. The Earth has a number of natural thermostats, including clouds, which can either trap heat and turn up the temperature, or reflect sunlight and help cool the planet.

That can't be directly measured at the moment, however.

"Unfortunately, we don't have adequate tracking of clouds to determine exactly what role they've been playing during this period," Trenberth says.

It's also possible that some of the heat has gone even deeper into the ocean, he says. Or it's possible that scientists need to correct for some other feature of the planet they don't know about. It's an exciting time, though, with all this new data about global sea temperature, sea level and other features of climate.

"I suspect that we'll able to put this together with a little bit more perspective and further analysis," Trenberth says. "But what this does is highlight some of the issues and send people back to the drawing board."

Trenberth and Willis agree that a few mild years have no effect on the long-term trend of global warming. But they say there are still things to learn about how our planet copes with the heat.

TAX REBATE ???????

By ANDREW TAYLOR and JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS, Associated Press Writers

WASHINGTON - With unprecedented speed and cooperation, Congress and the White House forged a deal Thursday to begin rushing tax rebates of $600 to $1,200 to most tax filers by spring, hoping they will spend the money just as quickly and jolt the ailing economy to life.

Rebates would be even higher for families with children.
The one-time tax rebates are at the center of a hard-won agreement to pump about $150 billion into the economy this year and perhaps stave off the first recession since 2001. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Republican leader John Boehner and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson worked out the details in negotiations that stretched into Wednesday night at the Capitol.
About two-thirds of the tax relief would go out in rebate checks to 117 million families beginning in May. Businesses would get $50 billion in incentives to invest in new plants and equipment.
Individual taxpayers would get up to $600 in rebates, working couples $1,200 and those with children an additional $300 per child under the agreement. In a key concession to Democrats, 35 million families who make at least $3,000 but don't pay taxes would get $300 rebates.

I just read this on YAHOO and I am a little beside myself. Now I could use a couple of bucks extra now and then but is this really a good idea, going 150 billion dollars or so more in debt. This will stimulate our economy? How about maybe stop overspending and build up a little cash then if you want give it away. The economy is not nearly as bad as those in power would have you believe. How many flat screen TVs do ya think were bought last year? Please God send us a real conservative to fix our country.

Democrats are Racist?

This is something I had to post its from Glenn Beck

GLENN: Now, let me add this one in. As I'm watching the highlights of the Democratic debates from the other night, the first thing that comes to mind is, how is this even a contest? How is this even close? And I mean this sincerely. If you're a Democrat, how could you possibly even entertain the possibility of running Hillary Clinton or voting for Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama? How is that even a possibility? And by the way, just so you know, it's not some sort of reverse psychology thing. I'm just not that smart I'm not secretly afraid of Hillary Clinton. I don't secretly think that Obama is actually more beatable. I think Barack Obama, because most people won't even listen to his policies, most people will say, it says a lot about me; I voted for the first African-American. They are going to run in droves to vote for Barack Obama. And the truth is Barack Obama is 400,000 times the candidate that Hillary is. He's a much better speaker. He can ignite the imagination of people. I like him. I think his policies may come directly from hell. I think Stalin may be down in the bowels of the Earth going, "Wait, wait, wait, Barack, say this one." I mean, but I like him. I mean, I'm going to have to check his campaign finance laws because, you know, running Hillary Clinton, you know, over Barack Obama I think could actually be seen as a donation to the Republican party. Maybe it's just me. Maybe Democrats know something that we don't. Maybe they think you'll melt down under the pressure, but I don't see any signs of it. He doesn't have that much baggage and the baggage that he does, he admits to. He's smooth, he's smart, he's a significant portion of the population who will -- there's a significant portion of the population that will actually vote for him because, "Look how tolerant I am." He's obviously much more to beat than Hillary Clinton, seriously. Every Republican in the universe is cheering on Hillary Clinton like their kid in a little league game, "Go, Hillary, run! Keep running, you can make it!" In fact, if I may take a page directly out of the Democratic handbook here, I mean, seriously why won't the Democrats give the nomination to Obama? It must be racism. It must -- what else could it possibly be? What else could it possibly be besides racism? I mean, there's this wide of a chasm between the white candidate and the far superior black candidate? Are you kidding me? They're not even close. We're supposed to expect change from her? She just came from the White House and then she went to the capitol and then she went back to the White House. You're kidding me. Who's the one that's exciting the imagination? Who's the one that conservatives are saying, I don't know, I mean, he's got the same kind of charisma of Ronald Reagan, and he's losing, to the pants suit? You're kidding me, right? Democrats, you just hate black people. It's the only choice I can come up with. It's the only possible reason: You are just racist. You hate black people. It's amazing. It's amazing.

I mean, when the Republicans have great black candidates, we beg them to get in the race. How many times did we have to beg Colin Powell or Condi Rice, please, run for President, please, please run. They never listen to us. So we beg them to be Secretary of State or nominate them to the Supreme Court. Damn, our racism. But what's your excuse, you tolerant Progressives? You can't possibly -- I mean, there is absolutely no way that you are looking at the same two people that I'm looking at. And then having a tough time deciding between the two. There's no way you're looking at these two people and go, "I don't know, it's pretty close." They're not close. I don't agree with either of them. I don't want either of them to be in the White House. I don't want either of them to be President of the United States President of the United States) So I can confidently say, "Run, Hillary, run." It's like Forrest. "Run, Hillary, run!" But at some point if I'm a Democrat voting for Hillary, I probably would start to wonder, why am I voting for the person who Glenn Beck wants me to vote for? And the answer to that, of course, is racism. You're racist. Celebrate. This is not going to last long. As soon as they decide, then we're going to become the racists. As soon as we say what they're saying about Barack Obama, we're racist. But right now we could say that about them. It's great. It's great. We haven't had this opportunity very often, you know. As long as they keep the African-American down in his place, they love the African-American. But as soon as that African-American starts to run and challenges the establishment and he's far superior than the established white person, hey, hey, hey, hey, whoa, whoa, whoa. I love living as a Democrat. This is the best thing ever. You don't even have to make sense. You could just... "Racist!" It's great. "Oh, see you're wearing a Hillary button. What a hate mongering racist!" Don't worry. It will come back around. As soon as -- if they pick Barack Obama, which they won't because, you know, they're racists! If they pick Barack Obama and they have him up as the presidential candidate, then we'll be the racists because we disagree with his policies. But right now the liberals are racists! And I think it's fantastic. I really do.

Holy cow I agree with a Democrat

OK for those of you that don't know my beliefs are mainly conservative. I do not believe in big government. I think taxes should be as low as possible. Spending should be to a minimum. I am pro military and I am all for staying in Iraq till the job is done. I do not agree with gay marriage. Not that I am anti gay really I just believe marriage is between a man and woman. Abortion is a non-issue to me even with all the pro-life presidents we have had since Roe vs. Wade no one has made any headway in overturning it,it is still legal like it or not. Illegal immigration is just that illegal (IE.against the law). That being said prosecute the dirty bastards and keep them the hell out. As for the businesses that hire the invaders make it impossible for them to continue breaking the law, shut them down if we have to. With no work here the invaders will have no reason to be here. Do not give the illegals aid (medical or monetary) if we cut them off the will have no reason to be here.

Now that I have said all that here is my agreement with a very famous democrat. "Ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country." Wow what a concept. I personally gave 5 years of my life to serve my country. I am not owed a damn thing. Now I know the military may not be for everyone but we should all do what we can for the good of our nation. JFK knew that the country doesn't owe us anything we are not entitled to free health care, free school, or free money. Now I am not against temporary govt aid on the local level but it should be limited to a reasonable time period. We have all heard the proverb "Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime" if you think about it the Democrats in power are trying to do just the opposite. So please for the sake of the country that so many are fighting and dieing for and all those that already have. Please use common sense when you make a decision at the polls

Divided States of America

Jesus Herschel Christ enough all ready. OK I really feel the need to bitch a bit so please bear with me.This should not take too long.

1. The War in Iraq: Yes war is not pleasant but for God sake lets finish what the radical Muslim terrorist started. If we leave now every American life lost will have been for nothing. I would rather stay there and finish than leave the conflict for my kids to deal with. Now I am not opposed to my own kids joining the service quite the opposite is true. I would be the proudest Father on the planet if any of my children were willing to fight and possibly die for you and I and our way of life. For you misinformed people that think the war is for oil ,are ya kidding me, we are the most powerful nation in the world if it was all about oil why don't we have it yet. We would have taken it and called it spoils of war.

2.National health care: Hillary Clinton goes out of her way to convince us that her new health care program is a good idea , bullshit socialized health care has never worked very well. look at Canada they have people waiting for months to be seen by a doctor. The program is proposed to cost $110,000,000,000.00 per year. We all know that the realistic budget in government is usually 3 to 4 times more than proposed. (300-400 billion realistically) Hey I got a great program. Kill the ambulance chasing lawyers, quit going sue crazy so doctors have to pay ridiculous malpractice insurance, and finally when a god damn illegal alien goes to a hospital call INS and deport their asses in turn medical care prices would become affordable and guess what we could all afford to pay for our own insurance. Imagine that being self sufficient with smaller govt.

3.Raising taxes: For you that do not know me that well I would not consider myself rich. I gross about $42,000 a year I am not ashamed I earned every penny of my pay. That being said, I am very opposed to raising taxes on the rich to pay for programs for the "poor" fuck that get off your ass and earn your way. Now I do understand that shit happens in life and ya may need a hand at times fine ya broke your leg and cannot physically work OK here is some help. But as soon as you are well get out there and earn your way. The rich are rich for a reason they are smart with money every time taxes get raised the rich tend to find the loopholes left by the liberal politicians to cover their "rich" asses. Joe Blow is your neighbor he has a nice SUV in his driveway. John Doe is your other neighbor he has a nice Schwinn(bicycle) chained up in front of his house. You have a little Toyota and a Saturn not brand new but they both work. should the government come to your house and take one of your cars and give it to John Doe. THINK ABOUT IT!!

4. Gas prices : The price of gas is shitty but we are over a barrel (no pun intended) So why the fuck do we depend on foreign oil so much I'll tell ya the goddamn Birkenstock buying tree hugging patchouli wearing hippy dickheads won't let us drill in Alaska or the Gulf of Mexico. Being a previous resident of Alaska I will tell you it is beautiful it is like living at a wildlife preserve. There is so much land that if we drilled only where humans won't live(the tundra) it would not harm the beauty of the landscape. The other reason we are not allowed to drill is if we did we would interrupt the migration of the caribou. Are ya kidding I think these over sized deer would find a different route to where they are going. As far as the gulf let me tell ya a little fact that should piss ya off. A oil drilling survey company located in Huston Texas discovered that there was an ideal location to drill in the gulf that was projected to yield an enormous amount of crude oil. guess what the dickheads hippies lobbied so we could not drill in the gulf. Ya know what happened next the survey company sold the information to a Mexican oil drilling company (can't blame them ya gotta make a living) and they are now selling that oil to us how great. Lets take money away from American companies so we do not disrupt animals.

OK I feel a little bit better. If you actually got through all this thanks for caring. God bless America (someone needs to)

You can't deny he has a point

THIS...is JUSTICE ???????
by Rush Limbaugh:

I think the vast differences in compensation between victims of the September 11 casualty, and those who die serving our countryin Uniform, are profound. No one is really talking about it either;because you just don' t criticize any thing having to do with September11. Well, I can't let the numbers just pass by; because it says something really disturbing about the entitlement mentality of this country.

If you lost a family member in the September 11 attack, you're going to get an average of $1,185,000. The range is a minimum guarantee of $250,000, all the way up to $4.7 million.......

However; if you are a surviving family member of an American soldier killed in action, the first check you get is a big$6,000 direct death benefit, half of which is taxable.
Next, you get $1,750 for burial costs. If you are the surviving spouse, you get $833 a month until you remarry. And there's a payment of $211 per month for each child under 18. When the child hits 18,those payments come to a screeching halt.

Keep in mind that some of the people who are getting an average of $1.185 million up to $4.7 million are complaining that it's not enough. Their deaths were tragic, but for most, they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. But our military men allow themselves to be put in harm's way FOR ALL OF US , and they and their familiesknow the dangers.... ( a willing sacrifice....)

We also learned over the weekend that some of the victims from the Oklahoma City bombing have started an organization asking forthe same deal that the September 11 families are getting. In addition to that, some of the families of those bombed in the embassies are now asking for compensation, as well.

You do see where this is going, don't you? Folks, this is part and parcel of over 50 years of entitlement politics in this country. It's just really sad. Every time a pay raise comes up for the military, they usually receive next to nothing of a raise. Now the green machine is in combat in the Middle East, while their families have to survive on food stamps and live in low-rent housing . Make any sense?

However, our own Congress voted themselves a raise. Many of you don't know that they only have to be in Congress one time to receive a pension that is more than $15,000 per month! ( And most are now equal to being millionaires plus.) They do not receive Social Security on retirement, because they didn't have to pay into the system.

If some of the military people stay in for 20 years and get out as an E-7, they may receive a pension of $1,000 per month, while the very people who placed them in harm's way receives apension of $15,000 per month...........

I would like to see our elected officials pick up a weaponand join ranks, before they start cutting out more benefits and lowering pay for our sons and daughters who are now fighting!

When do we finally do something about this?
